Lymphatic Drainage Massage

The Lymphatic System is the silent hero to our immunity. A sluggish LS will compromise our immune function making it impossible to fight off a simple cold. LDM done properly will drain lymph fluid from blocked nodes which filter and purify LF. Stimulating this system through manual drainage can increase the volume at which it flows by 20%. We want this because it boosts immune function, lymphocytes, and removes harmful substances from the nodes, Blockages cause swelling, bloating, puffiness around the eyes, headaches, infections, swollen glands, fatigue and holding onto water weight.Simply put it is a manual detox and an integral part of the healing process. This is a specialty massage.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping is an adaptation of an ancient technique to create suction on the surface of the body. Cups are moved over skin using gliding, shaking, popping, and rotating techniques. They may also be left in place to facilitate joint mobilization or soft tissue release. The suction reaches deep into the tissues, attachments and organs to help pull toxins and inflammation from the body to the surface of the skin where the lymphatic system can  more readily eliminate them. The purpose of this is to promote health and healing by loosening soft and connective tissues, scarring, adhesion's, moving stagnation, and to increase blood and lymph flow.

Dry Brushing & Scrubs

Dry brushing is the deepest form of physical exfoliation. Not only are you sloughing off dead skin but it penetrates much deeper than that tapping into the lymphatic system. The firm bristles exfoliate the skin while pressure helps to stimulate circulation and lymphatic drainage because the lymph system lives right under the skin. This helps to eliminate toxins from the body.

Scrubs work well to smooth rough skin. Himalayan salt is used over the rough patches such as the back, elbows, knees, hands and feet. It is a natural purifier that removes toxins thus improving the skins texture.

Reflexology

Reflexology is based on a theory that certain body parts and organs are connected to points on the feet and hands. By pressing on these points, calming signals are sent to the central nervous system to help release tension and produce change in pain and other benefits elsewhere in the body. This works because nerves connect the skin to our internal organs. Other benefits are, corrections in hormonal imbalances, improves circulation, alleviates edema, reduces aches and pains such as headache, migraines, neck and back pain, improves sleep and overall well being.

Percussion Therapy

With the use of a percussion gun, rapid and strong pulses are delivered to a specific area of the body to treat deep into connective tissues. It helps to tone the muscle and to release tension enhancing over all muscle function. When a sustained pulse is provided to the muscle this will cause vibration in the tissue, which is the deepest form of penetration to the muscle. This helps to break up adhesions and scar tissue, soften hardened muscles, promotes greater flexibility, improves blood and lymph flow, and breaks apart fat cells which will then reduce the appearance of cellulite. This is a great add on to a stretch or deep tissue massage.
